COVID-19 Nurses - Harare *34 (Part-Time)

To accelerate COVID-19 vaccination and testing to suitably screened and consenting individuals, according to vaccine administration protocol as part of the standard HIV/SRHR services offer.

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates COVID-19 vaccination mobilization and outreach vaccine service delivery activities on daily, weekly basis.
• Estimates daily vaccine requirements before removing vaccines required from the main storage EPI fridge.
• Builds a targeted COVID-19 outreach and communication plan in your outreach groups.
• Manages supply chain vaccination collection, cold chain management and ensures cold boxes are in good working order before setting up a vaccination station.
• Assesses client’s suitability and readiness for vaccination and obtain informed consent.
• Administers COVID-19 Vaccine at the direct site and in the community.
• Provides appropriate emergency management of Adverse Events Following Immunisation (AEFIs).
• Ensures Pre and Post vaccination disposal of clinical waste and cleaning/preparation following waste Management Policy.
• Hotspots mapping for areas to vaccinate and mobilises for vaccination.
• Works with VMMC Officers and cluster team leaders, supervise and mentor the demand generation footprint: EPMs, AGYW and other community health workers.
• Monitors and reporting of adverse events following vaccination.
• Checks vaccine before administration and report any concerns to the team leader and cross-check that vaccine batch numbers are recorded under the correct client.
• Attends on-site/off-site community engagement activities, clinic events, and/or training as need.
• Collects and recording of data into COVID-19 vaccination and testing Registers during service provision.
• Ensures data completeness of all source documents i.e., all fields in register are filled in unless not applicable.
• Captures of referred clients into referral registers.
• Ensures that the consent forms are properly completed whenever applicable before testing is done.

• Checks for consistency of data in Screening tools, vaccination registers, COVID-19 ICT registers and laboratory registers on daily basis.
• Reports accurate and timely vaccination and testing statistics as required daily, weekly, and monthly as required to PSH and local health authorities.
• Documents, reports, and reviews all AEFI accurately and timely.
• Applies appropriate HIV testing modalities and screening tools to minimise unnecessary HIV testing.
• Provides HIV services management and referrals.
• Offers comprehensive SHRH services.
• Promotes cervical cancer screening to all eligible women and conduct cervical cancer screening according to protocol.

What Are We Looking For?

• Registered General Nursing Diploma.
• One year work experience
• COVID-19 testing, vaccination and case management training
• HIV Testing training, ART training and SRH an added advantage.
• Current registration with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe.

Regional Integration and Quality Assurance Specialist (Re-advertisement) – Eastern Region *1 (Full Time)

This position will work with the CHAI/STRIDE supported PHEs, Provincial VMMC Officer, DHEs and the District Biomedical Prevention Officers (DPOs) to provide operational and technical support to achieve VMMC catch-up targets through the differentiated serve-delivery implementation models, and to facilitate the measurable VMMC program transition to a more sustainable maintenance phase which is integrated with broader HIV biomedical prevention as part of health system strengthening.

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities

• Disseminates project plans within the INTEGRATE team and sub awards.
• Provides technical support to DHEs in the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual workplans for the achievement of VMMC coverage and sustainability interventions.
• Facilitates the on boarding and mentoring of new field-based staff.
• Conducts regular performance reviews for field-based staff (DPOs, Driver Mobilizers, Research Assistants, Roving clinicians).
• Monitors levels of activity of field staff and allocates human resources according to need.
• Facilitates leave management of field-based personnel in liaison with DHEs.
• Provides technical support to ensure that differentiated service delivery models are implemented.
• Works with the Provincial VMMC Officer and the DPOs to facilitate and document the phased rollout of VMMC Device method through targeted trainings.
• Facilitates the training of surgical providers towards decentralization targets.
• Facilitates the implementation of mentorship of service providers to ensure productivity of newly trained providers.
• Provides technical support to ensure that differentiated demand creation models are implemented.
• Provides technical support for IPC planning, recruitment, and training of the demand footprint.
• Supports the capture of differentiated VMMC demand creation data.
• Monitors quality of demand data in the DHIS2 system.
• Conducts demand creation Support and Supervision for IPC cadres to ensure implementation with fidelity
• Provides weekly and monthly consolidated demand reports.
• Provides technical support to DHEs for identifying integration opportunities for HIV biomedical prevention across the VMMC pillars: Management, SIE, Service, Quality, Demand, Supply chain.
• Supports the development of integrated service delivery in high volume facilities in targeted districts
• Facilitates the documentation of HIV biomedical prevention integration processes.

Provides technical support to the MOHCC-led rollout plans for implementing operational and programmatic efficiencies to reduce the cost of VMMC service delivery to sustainable levels through PHE
sub granting.
• Provides technical support to DHEs to ensure compliance with minimum set standards for VMMC cost reimbursement.
• Facilitates the operationalization of VMMC results-based financing (RBF) in pilot districts through contracting, facility operational planning and implementation, and verification for invoice submission.
• Ensures responsiveness to donors, MOHCC and, stakeholders on programmatic matters and matters arising from National IQAs, EQAs.
• Provides technical support to DPOs and DHEs in the use of HNQIS for routine QA as part of the VMMC cost reimbursement or RBF.
• Provides technical support for the maintenance and review of quality assurance and quality improvement processes and requirements for VMMC and broader HIV biomedical prevention services including
maintaining and updating VMMC SOPs and guidelines in facilities.
• Coordinates with sub national health teams in addressing VMMC adverse events or other Biomedical prevention quality assurance related issues across functional teams.
• Facilitates the roll out of digital health pilots in targeted districts (Workforce application, integrate HNQIS, DHIS2 SAE tracker, RDQA Application).
• Supports the DPOs to ensure consistent generation of quality service delivery and demand creation data for timely decision-making at all levels.
• Facilitates the development and dissemination of data to action dashboards for service and demand creation as part of routine engagement for program improvement.
• Supports the DPOs and DHEs to ensure that circumcised clients are verified as part of Cost reimbursement invoice submission.
• Facilitates. the preparation, implementation, and documentation of operations research in the targeted districts (Shang Ring and VMMC RBF).
• Documents best practices/lessons learnt in implementing HIV Biomedical prevention integration, and community led demand creation.
• Ensures responsiveness to donors, MoHCC and stakeholders on programmatic matters at sub national level.
• Represents PSH in the sub-national Technical Working Groups.

What Are We Looking For?

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences preferably in Medicine or Nursing.
• Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience in the implementation of VMMC programs or related HIV prevention care and treatment programs.
• Appreciation of PHE and DHE structures and roles as part of the broader health system strengthening requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

VMMC IPC Coordinator -  Harare *1 (Full Time)

The position will be responsible for the management and coordination of VMMC Community based demand creation activities to reach men 15- 29 years old in a complex urban setting.

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates the development of the City`s Community based quarterly, monthly, and weekly VMMC Community demand creation workplans.
• Works with the VMMC service delivery teams, local council facilities to ensure that clients mobilized in the community are linked to VMMC Service delivery.
• Ensures that all clients mobilized in the IPC have adequate, traceable consenting.
• Responsible for mentoring and supervision of VMMC Field Officers on IPC and Mid Media activities.
• Working with VMMC Field Officers, leads the implementation of the community demand creation activities: mid media, and door to door.
• Ensures the recruitment of adequate IPC footprint and mentoring and supervision of IPC agents.
• Ensures that all IPC agents capture and report, daily, and monthly, all IPC activities in DHIS2, and facilitate course correction measures.
• Ensures that all mid media activities are captured in DHIS2, daily, weekly, and monthly, and facilitate course correction measures.
• Identifies staff and IPC training needs and facilitate the capacity building on the job.
• Facilitates the timely verification of facility and IPC agents` DHIS data, and processing of invoices and payments.

What Are We Looking For?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or Social Sciences prerequisite.
• Three years demonstrated experience in VMMC School and Community based demand creation and use of data for decision making.
• Experience in working with MOHCC and related structures.
• A valid driver’s license and at least 2 years driving experience.

Driver - Bambanani *1 (Full Time), *7 (Part Time)

The job exists to drive and transport staff and various goods safely and timeously and ensure all vehicles are maintained to the highest possible standards.

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities

• Transports staff, developmental partners on official engagements safely and timeously.
• Drives vehicles when going for purchases, bank, mail collection and delivery.
• Picks up visitors at the airport and drop off at designated destinations.
• Conducts delivery of goods and commodities from Harare Main warehouse to the Head Office, other sites, and partners.
• Collects procured goods from various outlets to the warehouse and Head Office.
• Deliveries of mails to various destinations.
• Cleans the vehicles by washing outside and inside the vehicles using soap so that the passengers ride comfortably.
• Checks oil, water/ coolant, tyre pressure, availability of extinguisher and triangles before departing to avoid accidents on the road.
• Advises supervisor when the vehicle is due for service, renewal of insurance cover.
• Reports to the supervisor any defects on the vehicle for action to be taken and for the vehicle to continue functioning properly.
• Refuels all Head Office pool vehicles and generators.
• Reports any accidents that involves project vehicles to the Transport Officer.
• Makes bank deposits, transfers, and withdrawals timeously.
• Solicits for quotations for vehicle damages and other vehicle accessories to be bought.
• Ensures that toll gate fees are in place before embarking on a journey.
• Assists Transport Office to match invoices.,cleans the Transport storeroom and files all transport documents.

What Are We Looking For?

• 5 "O" levels.
• Class 4, 2, 3 Driving licence.
• A Defensive Driving certificate a must
• 2 years working experience
