The purpose of this job is to support data collection for the Shang Ring operational research in selected districts
and rapidly monitor and evaluate data entered in case report forms daily to maintain quality control standards to
preserve the integrity of research and ensure compliance with protocol and overall study objectives.
Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities.
• Leads and guides the work of healthy facility-based data collectors.
• Supervises data collectors working on the research project (maintains records on assignment completion).
• Maintains quality control standards to preserve the integrity of data and findings.
• Reviews collected data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information; follow up with subjects to
resolve problems or clarify data collected.
• Travels to facilities in districts to perform quality assurance on data collection processes as appropriate to

• Acts as a mediator between the data collector and the operations research specialist and the District
Health Executive.

• Develops or assists in the development of interview schedules, contacts potential subjects to introduce
and explain study objectives and protocol and to arrange interviews, either in person or by telephone,

liaison with the District Health Executive and the District Prevention Officers.
• Ensures equipment or supplies required for the research project are always in place at facilities.

What are we looking for?
• Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Demography, or any relevant program.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in field data collection for operations health research or population

ICT Support Officer – Bulawayo *1 (Full Time)
The job exists to provide ICT support for PSH.
Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities.
• Conducts network maintenance and support for multiple PSH offices.

Integrated HIV Care Nurse - Harare (Full Time *1)
Reporting to the Senior Clinical Services Coordinator / Senior Field Services Coordinator, the Integrated HIV Care
Nurse provides comprehensive and quality integrated HIV health services to clients with the aim of ensuring that
all clients are linked to and retained in HIV prevention, care, and treatment services.
Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities
Â
• Assesses and provides all HIV negative clients with the most appropriate biomedical prevention methods
such as VMMC, PrEP, DREAMS, Condom programming and STI screening and treatment.
• Links HIV negative clients to social support structures and/or case managers for continued care support.
• Provides information to all HIV negative clients on available biomedical prevention options for them to
make informed choices.
• Leads GBV /IPV case identification, providing timely first line support i.e., minimum package of care and
post GBV support using the LIVES framework.
• Proactively assesses for risk of defaulting and provide appropriate differentiated care models.
• Applies appropriate HIV testing modalities and screening tools to minimize unnecessary HIV testing.
• Provides PDHTS VCT, targeted outreach and HIVST as guided by hot spot map or risk network referrals
as appropriate.
• Provides HIV self-testing for target populations and tracks all recipients for confirmatory test, treatment,
and prevention as appropriate.
• Conducts patient centered index and contact tracing (ICT) in key and priority populations such as virally
unsuppressed, newly diagnosed HIV clients and adult men, in a safe and ethical manner as per WHO and
PEPFAR guidelines.
• Provides facility and community Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) initiation.
• Actively identifies clients eligible for viral load testing. (Sets appointments, educates, and keeps clients
aware of appointment dates through client held records/SMS reminders etc).
• Provides viral load monitoring services from sample collection to transportation, documentation, and use
of the results in patient management.
• Counsels’ clients on the benefits of U=U to, among other reasons, motivate early ART initiation, improve
treatment adherence and retention.
• Works with a multidisciplinary team to conduct enhanced adherence counselling for clients with
unsuppressed viral loads, do follow-up viral load testing and switch/maintain treatment as indicated within
the MOHCC time limits.
• Implements community differentiated service delivery models to retain clients on ART.
• Tracks defaulters and facilitates return to care, addresses and documents reasons for defaulting.
• Leads the transition of stable KP clients to friendly/capacitated public sector clinics.
• Ensures completion and updates the index testing register in accordance with PEPFAR minimum standards
for safe care.
• Documents all HIV tested clients in the clinic catchment area’s community HTS register.
• Documents all HIV Positive clients in the facility green books Pre ART, and ART registers.
• Records all clients receiving services in DHIS2/Bahmni as appropriate.
• Reports all adverse events (provider/client detected) within reporting timelines.
• Develops joint index testing and retention in care cascades for optimized service provision.
• Conducts data deduplication for all newly diagnosed HIV positive clients.
• Supports facility partner with documentation in the facility who require community follow up and/or
service provision.
• Participates in collaborative defaulter tracking meetings and activities with MOHCC and facility partners.

Dispensary Assistant - Chitungwiza (Full Time *1)
To assist with the preparation and distribution of pharmaceuticals, inventory management, and documentation
within the pharmacy.
Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities
• Assists in the dispensing of ART, PrEP, and SRH medicines to clients either on site or on outreaches as prescribed by the Clinician and ensuring the right medication is given to the right client in right quantities.
• Packs medicines in properly labelled dispensing envelopes to small recommended prescribed quantities for easy dispensing and to reduce client waiting.
• Provides information to clients on how the medication is taken and side effects if not taken properly, also counselling clients for adherence purposes to achieve treatment success.
• Receives and collects prescriptions from clients timeously as they come to reduce clients’ waiting period.
• Arranges received pharmaceuticals on the shelf according to FEFO in order to minimize expiries.
• Ensures that all received pharmaceuticals are offloaded and moved timeously into the pharmacy to avoid breakages and maintain the required temperatures.
• Ensures proper labelling of medicines on shelves for easy access and to maintain order in the pharmacy.
• Ensures that the pharmacy is clean and the safe and appropriate storage of medicine.
• Ensures that recommended room temperature and the quality of medicines is maintained.
• Files all generated reports for ART and SRH medicines; invoices; prescriptions and correspondents monthly for record keeping purposes.
• Performs daily temperature takings and records them to ensure that recommended room temperature and the quality of medicines is maintained.
• Captures dispensed medicines into EPOC system.
• Keeps a record of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
• Conducts physical counts monthly for the purposes of ordering and to avoid overstocking or understocking and checking on expiries.
• Ensures that there are no breakages, shortages and short dated pharmaceuticals when receiving commodities from Nat pharm or PSH Warehouse deliveries
• Receives and arranges ordered commodities on shelves according to FIFO and categories e.g.,
Antibacterial, Antifungals, Antidepressants etc.
• Updates Stock Cards on dispensed medicines daily.
• Captures received pharmaceuticals from PSH Warehouse, Nat pharm and other sites on the Stock Card
and Receiving Registers for SRH and ART departments.
What are we looking for?
• Dispensary Assistant training course.
• 5 O’ Levels including English Language and Mathematics.
• At least 2 years working experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations and laws.
• Computer literate.
• Basic knowledge of HIV/AIDS and basic management of related Opportunity Infections.

Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities
• Performs laboratory tests, records patients and Quality Control (QC) results and transcribes to appropriate reports.
• Coordinates work schedules (Routine Tests and Specialized tests) for diagnosis and prognosis to include HIV testing, monitoring of ART patients and other studies conducted by PSH according to the (SOPs).
• Recognizes and resolves instrument and or assay failures, acting as internal technical advisor for instrument troubleshooting on the laboratory’s equipment.

1. Pharmacy Technician – Chitungwiza *1, Gweru *1 (Full Time)
This position is responsible and accountable for planning, organizing, coordinating, and reporting the activities and
operations of the pharmacy department and related services at the site, and on outreach. In liaison with the
Pharmacy & Warehouse Manager, the position is responsible for the effective supply chain management and
control of medicines, commodities, and sundries in the program according to PSH, MOHCC and donor policies, to
avoid ruptures, losses, and gross overstocking.
Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities.
• Orders ARVS, contraceptives, condoms VMMC commodities and essential medicines from NATPHARM
through NATPHARM requisition books and ZAPS facility order as well as ordering from PSH warehouse
through different departments or programs routinely.
• Timeously follows up on orders with NATPHARM and PSH warehouse to ensure timely delivery and
minimize interruptions in service delivery.
• Counts and forecasts STI, PEP, PrEP, HIV and AIDS medicines, contraceptives to come up with the actual
pharmaceutical requirements for the site.
• Liaises with other PSH pharmacy technicians and stakeholders e.g., government hospital district pharmacy
managers with support from the Pharmacy & Warehouse Manager on stock management guided by FEFO
• Compiles and submits the soon to expire report, slow moving commodities report, stock transfer forms,
facility order forms to PSH Pharmacy & Warehouse Manager and NATPHARM respectively.
• Receives medicines from PSH warehouse, MOHCC, council clinics and NATPHARM and documents the
received medical products in appropriate registers and stock cards as well as updating the minimum,
maximum and emergency order point of every pharmaceutical product.
• Keeps accurate records of all medicines, commodities, and sundries in the pharmacy on stock cards and
applies the FEFO and FIFO rule.
• Collaborates with the clinical team to quantify, dispense, and reconcile medicines, commodities and
sundries used during community outreach, including the public private partnership (PPP) model.
• Updates Clinical Services Coordinator and Clinical personnel on medicine availability, new medicines in
stock, slow moving medicines, near expiry and new medicine dosages to improve stock management.
• Generates facility stock status reports monthly and submits to the Pharmacy & Warehouse Manager and
completes NATPHARM Consumption Requisition (CR page 1) report every quarter.
• Updates and maintains the expiry medicine register, ART pharmacy register, fluconazole register,
cotrimoxazole register, STI and essential medicines register every day.
• Produces logistics reports on consumption, stock on hand, losses, and adjustments monthly and quarterly.
• Updates the respective District Pharmacy Manager about the site pharmaceutical requirements.
• Ensures dispensing of rational prescriptions through adherence with current standard treatment guidelines
like EDLIZ and aligning them with PSH practices.
• Promotes the use of the Standard operating procedures e.g., use of prescriptions on SRH and ART
medicines and resource materials.
• Conducts regular checks on the clinical areas e.g., emergency drug trolleys as well as surgical items to
reduce expiries and outreach thereby improving stock management.
• Dispenses medicines to ART, SRH clients both on site and outreach using recommended registers as well
as reconciling medicines from outreaches for proper record keeping.
• Provides counselling to patients on medicine dispensed to improve patient management.
• Coordinates all pharmaceutical needs for the site in line with MCAZ requirements and guidelines.
•Issues out SRH, ART and VMMC surgical sundries and commodities for use at the clinic and outreach in
accordance with the Pharmacy SOP.
• Ensures valid registration of the pharmacy with MCAZ, HPA and other regulatory authorities at all times.
• Ensures good pharmacy practice when dispensing to ART, PEP, PrEP, STI and SRH clients through proper
counting, labelling of medicines, providing enough information on each medicine.
• Ensures that all medical and pharmaceutical products are secure and stored per good storage guidelines
as required by MCAZ and implementing the national medicine control system in line with the requirements
of the Directorate of Pharmacy Services, MCAZ and Pharmacist Council of Zimbabwe
• Ensures infection prevention and control, both in the pharmacy and storeroom is done – observing all
procedures.
What Are We Looking For?

1. Field Services Coordinator – Kwekwe *1 (Full Time)
Working under the supervision of the Regional Programs Manager, this position exists to expertly plan, organize,
coordinate, and direct all integrated HIV/SRHR/VMMC services Operations in line with PSH, MoHCC guidelines,
Donor, and Organisational strategic plan in the districts under this jurisdiction.
Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities.
• Formulates a detailed implementation plan for each district in his/ her jurisdiction and consolidates these into
one plan in liaison with PHE & DHE and RPM to guide service delivery, demand creation, training, quality
assurance, logistics and other aspects of the Last Mile program and in line with MOHCC guidelines and donor
expectation.
• Prepares monthly plans with the support of the Regional Demand Creation Specialist, for appropriate District
specific demand creation to increase uptake of clinical services.
• Plans for appropriate service delivery models that are efficient and enable each district to meet their targets.
• Plans for equitable resource allocation per demand and need across the districts (Vehicles & commodities).
• Facilitates operational research to improve service provision and demand creation in the province.
• Develops budget for activities in the districts in line with the national budget and accounts for use of funds.
• Requests for and manages Innovation funds in line with the approved thresholds and ensure that all expenses
are liquidated on time.
• Verifies per diems, time sheets, and invoices and make sure they match outputs and services provided.
• Requests for funds for all provincial meetings and AE management and reconcile all funds requested.
• Tracks adherence to program financial policy on funds being requested (correct amount, budget line,
accounting code).

• Prepares service orders for vehicle maintenance and repairs, log reporting as per PSH Policy and regulations.
• Ensures teams have adequate recording and reporting tools.
• Mentors service delivery and demand creation teams on the proper use of data collection tools (client intake
form, registers, tablets).
• Ensures entry of daily, and monthly MC outputs in PSH’s DHIS2 platform, and facilitate the same for MOHCC
DHIS2.
• Ensures IPC agents and data for other IPC agents is entered daily on DHIS2.
• Compiles and submits weekly and monthly update reports (program indicators, demand creation and training)
to the Regional Program Manager /RDCS and DHE.
• Inputs verified data for the districts under your jurisdiction into the PSH DHS2 System within one week after
the end of every month.
• Compiles and submits weekly and monthly update reports (AE, program indicators, demand creation and
training) to the Regional Program Manager.
• Reviews and verifies districts data to inform decision making.
• Checks client intake forms and consent forms against registers for data validation (completeness and accuracy).
• Conducts data quality checks for all IPC and MC data in the MIS data base weekly.
• Monitors program progress through daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, including Bahmni, and DHIS2 to
ensure that the programs are on track to achieving donor and organisational targets.
• Conducts improvement activities based on findings of the data analysis.
• Measures performance based on donor and organisational quantitative indicators – and quality of service –
sit-ins, client suggestion box, clinical and mortality meetings.
• Produces site support visit reports and initiates appropriate corrective action plans from teams after each visit.
• Analyses program results against targets to identify implementation challenges and suggests strategies to
improve program performance.
• Maintains and enforces proper use of data collection tools (client intake form, referral, and linkage registers,
HTS register.
• Organises the setting up of and execution of all demand creation activities at district level.
• Assists in the development and adherence to monthly plans by IPC agents.
• Monitors demand creation activities and analyse DHIS2 reports to track performance and provides inputs into
the improvements for respective District.
• Manages and tracks provincial fleet and fuel acquisitions, usage, and acquittals in liaison with transport
department and ensure all activities are planned and match the Eazy track records.
• Performs checks on reconciliation statements sent to Head Office to ensure fraud prevention and detection.
• Facilitates external audits and develops management plans to address any identified weaknesses.
• Develops Area risk register and monitors implementation per agreed actions and timelines.
• Continuously engages gate keepers and stakeholders for VMMC scale up and come with strategies to reach
priority age groups.
• Works closely with District Education personnel to ensure smooth implementation of VMMC.
• Conducts advocacy meetings to improve acceptance and ownership of the VMMC program.
• Represents PSH at all district fora organised by MoHCC and other stakeholders.
• Continuously engages stakeholders in the district including facility partners such as OPHID and I-TECH to
ensure that district plans are harmonized.
What Are We Looking For?
• Bachelor’s degree in health or social sciences.
• Previous experience working with MoHCC at provincial level an added advantage.
• 3 years program management experience at Officer level a must.
• Experience in the Zimbabwe national VMMC program.

2. Laboratory Scientist – Bulawayo *2 (Full Time)
To carry out high quality routine and specialized laboratory testing services so as to produce accurate and reliable
clinical results used in patient diagnosis, treatment, and management.
Your Contribution – Key Responsibilities.
• Ensures that SOP for testing, including quality controls are current and read by staff.
• Conducts tests on QC samples according to SOP and record results and conducts tests on specimens according
to SOPs.
• Validates and interpret test results and records any failed test runs and take corrective action.
• Monitors the work of others by periodically observing them during testing and provide feedback.
• Conducts tests EQA (e.g ZINQAP) samples as needed and document failures as well as Corrective Action
reports as needed.
• Monitors performance of new lots of reagents or equipment as needed.
• Tracks discordant rates.
• Records lab results in registers and worksheets manually and electronically.
• Checks the work of others to ensure there are no transcription errors and sample mix-up.
• Checks against test orders to ensure that all tests are completed.
• Conducts daily data verification and triangulation between the registers and the electronic system (Novo and
Epoc).
• Interacts with clients regarding test results and findings in a professional manner and ensures each issue is
resolved promptly and documented appropriately.
• Collects and processes specimen properly and labels specimens properly.
• Sorts all samples at the lab reception daily according to the pre-analytical guidelines to ensure that they are
send to the correct departments and processed accordingly.
• Inspects quality of all specimens and records rejected samples.
• Assigns test according to test request and conducts Process and aliquot specimens.
• Stores specimens in proper place and temperature (if needed).
• Packages specimens for shipment to referral site (if needed).
• Conducts follow up on specimen referral status.
• Ensures specimens are disposed according to SOP.
• Ensures that SOP for specimen collection and processing are current and read by staff.
• Consolidates and post equipment service information (contact, service frequency & dates, etc.) at site.
• Compiles and communicates equipment service schedules to management ahead of time.
• Conducts routine maintenance, including inspection and function checks, according to written operational
procedures.
• Performs simple troubleshooting on malfunctioning equipment and creates logs to record all maintenance
activities.
• Reviews and signs all maintenance logs to ensure all maintenance activities are recorded.
• Maintains a stock of expendable parts (light bulb, fuses, filters, etc.) at site.
• Assists subordinate laboratory staff members in daily workflow, to include, but not limited to prioritizing
specimens, specimen storage, and assay resulting and reporting.
• Mentors new staff by conducting orientation/training; or cross-train each other to ensure all staff members
are properly trained.
• Conducts in house training and refresher courses to the nurses who provide HIV and pregnancy testing, DBS
preparation, and POC CD4 testing.
• Develops and implements lab improvement plans based on best practices and feedback from staff, patients,
customers, quality indicators, and external assessment.
• Creates/reviews/forwards reports on lab operations to upper management.
• Inspects work area for any abnormalities (leakage, breakdown, spill, etc.)
• Monitors work and storage area (temperature, power, ventilation) and records results.
• Cleans/disinfects work area.
• Participates in lab safety training and participates in lab quality and safety audits.
• Ensures disinfection, waste segregation and ensures disposals are done according to set guidelines for the safe
environment of clients and staff.
• Participates in pitching of tents and setting up of laboratory during outreach services.
• Participates in site infection control committee.
• Counts and records all equipment and parts monthly and counts and records all supplies and reagents weekly.
• Maintains proper inventory records daily and ensures proper storage and cycling of stock daily.
• Checks quality of stored supplies weekly and determines the quantities and when to re-order quarterly and
when need arises (consumption & quantification).
• Inspects incoming orders as required and forecasts needs for laboratory (equipment, supplies, and reagent)
based on testing demand.
• Secures client records in locked cabinets or drawers to ensure confidentiality.
• Establishes an index system and space to archive all records to allow easy retrieval and to minimize
deterioration.
• Rotates records to storage area/facilities monthly and retains records for specified time according to protocols.
• Disposes of client records in a confidential manner.
• Generates Site Reports and Active Participation in External Assessments.
• Compiles weekly, monthly, and quarterly laboratory reports i.e., CD4, TB and HIV testing reports.
• Participates actively in quarterly Data Quality Audits (DQA).
• Participates actively in Site Improvement through Monitoring System (SIMS).
• Participates actively in the National TB Control Program Laboratory Quality Assessments.
• Attends to non-conformities raised during assessments and writing corrective action report.

• Minimum three years as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a hospital or research environment.
• Ability to run automated and manual lab equipment.
• Registered with Medical Laboratory and Clinical Scientists Council of Zimbabwe.
